Labour's landslide victory sees Starmer become Prime Minister

New cabinet is announced

The country's new Prime Minister Keir Starmer has appointed 22 Labour MPs and peers to key cabinet positions - including a record 11 women.

Following the achievement by the Labour Party of a majority in the 2024 general election the shadow cabinet was disbanded after Starmer became Prime Minister.
